The holy Bible!

Tijden veranderen, mensen veranderen. Zelf ben ik enorm veranderd en ik merk dat ik nog steeds verander.
Het is zo fijn dat je je vast kan houden aan iets wat altijd het zelfde zal blijven. Daarmee bedoel ik de bijbel. Het geeft mij zoveel houdvast, als het even niet zo gaat als ik zelf zou willen. Het maakt niet uit welk stukje ik van de bijbel lees; ik merk God's liefde meteen. Ookal gebeuren er vreselijke dingen, God is bij je! Mensen laten je soms in de steek, maar God absoluut niet. Misschien lijkt het soms wel zo. Probeer te kijken naar jezelf, waarom voelt het of God zo ver weg is? Als je de bijbel openslaat kom je bij teksten die je net even nodig had, als je je hart er maar voor open stelt. Vaak is dat niet zo, wij duwen God vaak weg.. Maar waarom zou je zo'n houdvast weg willen drukken? Het is eigenlijk zo dom! Nu ik dit zelf ook besef, groeit mijn verlangen naar Hem weer een stukje. God is een God van alle tijden. Van vroeger, van nu en van de toekomst. Hij laat je niet zomaar in de steek zoals mensen dat kunnen doen, Hij is altijd beschikbaar (zonder dat je een dure update moet aanschaffen), Hij zorgt altijd voor jou!
Een betere en geweldige houdvast kun je niet hebben!!
Deze psalm omschrijft dat zo goed: Psalm 145:

145 The Lord Is Kind and Merciful
1 I will praise you,
my God and King,
and always honor your name.
2 I will praise you each day
and always honor your name.
3 You are wonderful, Lord,
and you deserve all praise,
because you are much greater
than anyone can understand.


4 Each generation will announce
to the next
your wonderful
and powerful deeds.
5 I will keep thinking about
your marvelous glory

and you take care
of all your creation.


10 All creation will thank you,
and your loyal people
will praise you.
11 They will tell about
your marvelous kingdom
and your power.
12 Then everyone will know about
the mighty things you do
and your glorious kingdom.
13 Your kingdom will never end,
and you will rule forever.


Our Lord, you keep your word

you give a helping hand.
15 Everyone depends on you,
and when the time is right,
you provide them with food.
16 By your own hand
you satisfy

whose prayers are sincere.
19 You satisfy the desires
of all your worshipers,
and you come to save them
when they ask for help.
20 You take care of everyone
who loves you,
but you destroy the wicked.


21 I will praise you, Lord,
and everyone will respect
your holy name forever.
